PLAN FOR ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN

1. Week one: Introduction + Lesson One * Topic: 
- Introduction about the English course for children.
- How to learn in class and at home.
- First day: Alphabet

* Purpose: - Know how to learn subject and textbook.
- Help children become familiar with alphabet by using picture dictionary.

2. Week two: Lesson 2

* Topic: - Dealing with numbers by using picture dictionary.

* Purpose: - Help children know how to count numbers from 1 to 10 and more than 10.

3. Week three: Activity 1

* Topic: - Topic with songs: Let’s sing a song!

* Purpose: - Help children learn English from songs.
- Create a happy atmosphere in the class facilitate children to develop communication skill with friends in class.

4. Week four: Lesson 4

* Topic: - Dealing with colors and shape by using textbook “Shape and color”

* Purpose: - Help children to become familiar with the shape and color of daily subjects

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Week 5: Activity 2

* Topic: - Drawing pictures with different colors and shapes.

* Purpose: - Help students to learn more about shapes and pictures and improve observing skill.

6. Week six: Lesson 5

* Topic: - Dealing with fruits 

 

* Purpose: - Help children know the names of some common fruits.

7. Week seven: Lesson 6

* Topic:  - Dealing with foods.

* Purpose: - Help children to broaden their knowledge about vegetables and food by taking part in a visit to a super market (Suggested Big C).

8. Week eight: Lesson 7

* Topic: - Dealing with animals 1

* Purpose: - Facilitate children to have time looking at savage animals with their own eyes by going to a zoo in Hanoi. (Suggested “Bach Thao zoo”)

9. Week nine: Lesson 8

* Topic: - Dealing with animals 2

* Purpose: - Help children to remember names of common domestic animlas.

10. Week 10: Activity 3

* Topic: - Telling a story and recording with daily topic.

* Purpose: - Improve speaking skill and communication.

 

11. Week eleven: Presentation

- Make a presentation and work with native teachers.

12. Week twelve: Lesson 9

* Topic: - Dealing with house wares.

* Purpose: - Help children to talk about familiar house wares.

13. Week thirteen: Lesson 10

* Topic: - Dealing with means of transport

 

 

 

 

* Purpose: - Help children to remember some names of popular means of transport.

14. Week fourteen: Lesson 11

*Topic: - Dealing with toys

* Purpose: - Help children to know some names of common toys and how to use them effectively.

15. Week fifteen: Activity 4

* Topic: - Extra writing

* Purpose: - Develop and improve writing skill.

16. Week sixteen: Movie

- Facilitate children to watch a cartoon or movie relating children.
